FinSA & FinIA in English
On 4 October 2018, the referendum deadline for the Financial Services Act (FinSA) and the Financial Institutions Act (FinIA) expired. Both laws will come into force together with their implementing ordinances on 1 January 2020.
FinSA and FinIA are important components of the new financial market architecture and include:
- rules for offering financial services and distributing financial instruments (FinSA).
- rules for the authorisation of and the organisational requirements for prudentially (administratively) supervised financial institutions (FinIA).
